Check Out Our 2015 Blue Ridge Youth Lacrosse Festival!

Date Posted: 1/13/2015

The Blue Ridge Youth Lacrosse Festival is owned and operated by Brian Anken and Gene McCabe through Play Great Lacrosse LLC and Stonewall Lacrosse LLC. Brian Anken is the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at the Virginia Military Institute. Gene McCabe is the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Washington and Lee University. Both highly regarded academic institutions are located in Lexington, VA.

Brian and Gene’s vision for the Blue Ridge Youth Lacrosse festival is to provide boys and girls club teams a quality youth tournament experience that offers more. Most youth tournaments simply offer games. Our event offers advanced position specific skills sessions for players, a navigating the recruiting process presentation and Q & A for parents and a Chalk talk coaching clinic with Coach Anken, Coach McCabe and their staff for the club team coaches.

In many cases the locations for these games are in more urban settings. Our unique youth lacrosse festival takes place in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.  The Blue Ridge Youth Lacrosse Festival is located in historic Lexington, VA, conveniently located at the intersection of 1-81 and I-64.  We are just 4 hours or less from many major cities including Baltimore, Washington DC, Richmond, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Harrisburg, and Charleston, WV.  Lexington is widely regarded as one of the best small towns in America to visit. We offer excellent hotel and dining options in a small town environment.
